How do I book a move with SOS Moving and Storage Company?
You can enter your move information online into this link –  book-online to schedule your move and one of our representatives will get in touch with you shortly. Or if you prefer to give us a call at (909) 443-0004 we can schedule your move and assist you further.

My move date changed. What should I do?
Contact our office as soon as you can if your move dates have changed. We can process any changes to your plan and discuss updates. Keep in mind that your hourly rate may change depending on the dates you selected.

What is Double Driving Time?
For all hourly moves in the State of California, moving companies are required to charge double drive time. The actual CPUC (California Public Utilities Commission) law is written as follows: ‘the time used shall be the total of loading, unloading, and double the driving time from point of origin to point of destination.

How is SOS tackling COVID-19?
We make sure all parts of the truck that your furniture comes in contact with is well sanitized prior to the move. Added to that, all our movers carry the necessary equipment like Face Masks, Gloves, and Hand Sanitizer.

How much is the Packing Service?
We don’t have any specific charge for Packing Service itself. Packing Services are included in your hourly rate and the price is a matter of time it takes to complete your move.

Can I leave items inside the dressers?
We recommend removing all the contents from the furniture for safety reasons. Sometimes we can make an exception, but we leave it up to the Foreman on-site to decide.

Does SOS move appliances?
Our movers are all professionals, but not certified technicians. We DO NOT take any liability when disconnecting the appliances are involved with water or gas connections. We can still do it, but you will have to be present at the end to inspect for liability reasons.

Can you dispose of used packing supplies?
Yes we’ll dispose of all packing supplies that our company provided.

Do you offer hauling/disposal services of unwanted furniture?
Unfortunately, we don’t haul away unwanted furniture. There are two options: we can either set it on the curbside for you or deliver to any donation center per your request. You’ll be charged for that time.

When do I need to get a parking permit and how do I get it?
Parking permits are a lot more expensive than parking violation tickets. We recommend getting a parking permit only if we risk other traffic in case we have to double park or block the entire road/bus lane. Otherwise, it’s better to take the risk and Double Park. In case we get a citation ticket, we add it to the final bill. Parking permits are available through

What are the payment methods, and are there any cancellation fees?
We are booked up in advance most of the time. If you changed your plans and need to cancel your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible as it is a first come first serve basis.
The payment is done only once we complete your move. We accept cash, cashier check, Zelle, or credit card (Visa and MasterCard only). Unfortunately, we don’t accept personal checks.

Can you provide a certificate of General Liability Insurance?
Proof of insurance can be provided for no additional charge upon request.
Adding your location /HOA or property management AS ADDITIONALLY INSURED is easy – Let us know and we will need the additional insured name and physical address.

Are you insured?
Yes, we are a fully licensed and insured moving company. We offer basic insurance which covers 60 cents per pound per item. If you feel that you require Full Value Coverage you may purchase additional insurance from our third party insurance partner Baker International.

What are the recommended truck sizes?
1 Bedroom – 18 ft
2 Bedroom– 22 or 24 ft
3 Bedroom & Upwards –  26 ft
26 ft truck is officially the biggest truck allowed on a residential street. Our Truck requires at least 40 ft space to park and release the ramp.

How long will my move take?
Every move is unique and it’s hard to anticipate the total number of hours and give you a blind estimate. Length of the move depends on a lot of conditions, such as a walking distance to the truck, narrow stairways and doorways, amount of stuff you have and how prepared you are, is there any specific packing and wrapping for fragile items required, stairs, small elevator, traffic situation, etc.
We recommend packing as much as you can to cut down the time and save money in total. We can do full packing of your kitchen, miscellaneous items, media, personal items, etc. for you at no extra cost, but you will still be paying for the total number of hours our movers will spend on your move.
We guarantee that our movers move as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We suggest to add an additional mover If any of the following conditions apply:
-Small elevator
-Long walking distance to truck at any of the locations
-Help packing misc, personal, kitchen into a box is needed
-More than 1 flight of stairs at any of the locations
The additional mover is only $30/hr more but saves time and money in the long run.
Once our moving professionals arrive at your place and take a walk through to determine loading conditions, the number of items you have, and based on how prepared you are they will be able to give you an idea of how long it might take to complete your move.

Do you work in the rain?
Yes, we work in the rain. We provide unlimited shrink wrap to wrap and protect your belonging. Please note moving under the rain might cause delays and the entire job might take longer.

Can you move plants?
Yes, we can move plants. Movers will do their best to strap them down in our truck, however, we are not responsible for any damages.

Can you take down TV off the wall?
Yes, movers will take down your TV. However, we won’t be able to mount it back at the new location since we are not licensed to drill.

Will you have boxes in a truck if I ran out of my own?
Yes, we’ll have extra boxes in the truck for you. Prices are $3 per Small box, $4 per Medium, and $5 per Large.

Do you provide wardrobe boxes?
Yes, the truck will be fully equipped with all necessary moving supplies including wardrobe boxes.

Can you disassemble furniture?
Yes, our movers can disassemble and reassemble furniture. They will have all the necessary tools.
